Annual Villa Louis Carriage Classic
Midwest’s most elegant and lavishly appointed equine sport driving event. Some of the region’s finest horses and over 100 new and restored carriages compete in a variety of arena and cross-country events. Learn how this event descends from the Dousman era when the Villa Louis was known as the Artesian Stock Farm and was home to one of the Midwest’s finest racehorse farms. Tickets may also be purchased onsite. Both daily and weekend admission allows spectators to view the Carriage Classic competitions, seating provided. Tours of the Villa Louis Historic Site are also included with admission to the Carriage Classic.

Is there food service available?
Yes, food is served by Carriage Classic volunteers under the food tent. Lunch is served Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a variety of sandwiches, salads, desserts and beverages. Breakfast is served Friday, Saturday and Sunday under the food tent as well. Cash and credit card accepted. Gluten-free options available.
Is the event held rain or shine?
The event is scheduled to run in good and bad weather. Should lightening occur, rain delays will be utilized.
