DESCRIPTION:"Patrick Jung: Black Hawk and the War of 1832\," Dr. Patrick Jung is a professor in MSOE's Humanities\, Social Science\, and Communication Department. He is a historian who also teaches courses in art history and cultural anthropology. Jung has authored books on various topics concerning American history (particularly American Indian history) and German art history. He is currently researching the early history of Wisconsin's Ho-Chunk Indian tribe\, the War of 1812 in the upper Mississippi Valley\, and German industrial art in the first half of the twentieth century. He is also part of a research team that examines the pedagogical preparation of students for international service-learning experiences.
